    MARCH 2026 NEWSLETTER

Over the weekend, the United States and Israel conducted a coordinated series of missile and drone strikes against Iran, targeting several high-value military installations in an effort to hinder Iran’s nuclear development efforts. These operations resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, marking a significant escalation and immediately heightening regional tensions. Iran quickly retaliated by launching a broad series of missile attacks directed not only at Israel, but also at multiple Gulf states, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. The repercussions were felt across the region. Several Gulf countries responded by shutting down their airspace and closing their equity markets. The conflict also affected global energy flows. Tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway that carries about 20% of the world’s oil supply, came to a near standstill as shipping companies diverted vessels away from the area for safety reasons. Plus, Qatar shuttered liquefied natural gas production at the world’s largest export facility after being targeted by an Iranian drone strike. President Donald Trump stated that U.S. strikes on Iran would continue, signaling that tensions are likely to remain elevated for the next few weeks.

This could cause some short-term turbulence in the markets and that’s ok. Ending a terrorist regime in the Middle East will be a good thing for the entire world long term. The market goes up and it goes down, but history shows us that it goes up a lot more than it goes down. Our long-time clients have been through all different types of markets over the years and have come to understand the wisdom of not panicking. So, when the media tries to scare you, and they will, don’t let it phase you. The media has proven without a shadow of a doubt that they have agendas, and they will not report the news without bias. Am I concerned about what is going on in the world? Yes. Am I concerned about how it may affect the market? NO!!! That’s why diversification, active management, and time are so important to our business model. As always, if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to call the office.

On a personal note, Bentley won the regular season title for the first time in school history. Nick had an amazing season finishing 1st in the nation for goals against average and 2nd in the nation in save percentage. The playoffs start this weekend and hopefully Nick and the team can keep it going for another deep playoff run. Lexi is doing great at school and is home this weekend for spring break. I am so excited to have my baby home for a while. We already have a couple of Daddy/Daughter days planned.
